Cookie Policy

Effective date: August 13, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how The F.A.M. Project Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the FAM Central website (famcentral.com). It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device. They help websites work (for example, keeping you signed in), remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. Similar technologies include local storage and software identifiers in mobile apps.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies in three categories. We do not run advertising products, and we do not use advertising or ad-tracking cookies — our analytics configuration explicitly defaults all advertising-related storage to “denied.”

Strictly necessary

Required for the Service to function — you cannot opt out of these without losing core functionality.

PurposeExamplesDescription
Authentication & session__session, __client_uat (Clerk)Keep you signed in and secure your session
Security & infrastructureLoad-balancer and anti-forgery cookiesRoute requests reliably and protect against request forgery

Preferences

Remember choices you make (such as interface preferences) so you don’t have to re-enter them each visit.

Analytics

Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

PurposeExamplesDescription
Google Analytics_ga, _ga_*Measures page views and feature usage. Configured with Google Consent Mode v2; all advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to denied

We also operate a first-party usage-measurement pipeline that records feature interactions (such as which tiles are clicked). It is used only for our own product analytics and is not shared with advertisers.

3. Cookies in the Mobile App

The FAM Central mobile app does not use browser cookies, but it uses similar technologies: software identifiers for product analytics (PostHog) and crash and error reporting (Sentry). These serve the same purposes as the analytics category above.

4. Your Choices

  • Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and other core features from working.
  • Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics across websites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Device controls. Mobile operating systems provide settings to limit app tracking and reset device identifiers.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we adopt new tools. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service.
